Air Plus, Company

Air Plus is part of the AC Components Group, one of Australia’s leading supplier of air-conditioning and componentry products. Air Plus was founded in 1994 in Hallam. The business grew rapidly based on providing high levels of customer service and being a one stop shop for air-conditioning products. In 2007 Air Plus acquired Air Supply, a componentry business operating out of Boronia and Mount Waverley for over 20 years. Soon after, Air Plus opened a branch in Laverton to support its customers in the western suburbs of Melbourne. The Air Plus business continued to grow to become the second largest supplier or air-conditioning products in Victoria. In 2009 Metalflex purchased Air Plus. The largest and second largest air-conditioning products companies in Victoria combined forces to become the clear market leader in Victoria with superior resources. As a result, today the combined businesses offer the broadest range of componentry products and a wide selection of unit air-conditioning brands under the one roof. In December 2010, the AC Components Group was acquired by Actrol Parts which in turn is managed by Catalyst Investment Managers, a leading Australasian Private Equity firm.
